OpenVPN · R‑VPN · Windows

Step 1

1. Download

In the “Useful links” block at the bottom of the dashboard, under Windows, click “Download OpenVPN (with configs)” — an archive downloads with the OpenVPN installers for x64, ARM64 and x86, our configs and AnyDesk for remote help. Unpack it. If the link does not open, use the mirrors next to it — Europe, USA and Yandex.Disk.

Step 2

2. Software installation

From the archive, run the installer for your Windows: amd64 for regular 64-bit, arm64 for ARM computers, x86 for 32-bit. Choose “Install Now” — leave all options at their defaults. Once installed, the OpenVPN icon appears in the system tray next to the clock.

Step 3

3. Download config files

The dashboard has a “Download OpenVPN Certificate” block with the servers grouped by region. Open a region with its arrow and click the server you need — an .ovpn configuration file downloads. The login and password for the connection are on the same page, in the “Connection details” block. Ready-made .ovpn files for all servers are also in the “Config files” folder of the downloaded archive.

Step 4

4. Configuration import

Right-click the OpenVPN tray icon and choose “Import file…”. Point it at the .ovpn file you downloaded — the server is added to the list. Repeat for the other servers so there is something to switch between.

Step 5

5. Connection

Click the tray icon again, pick the server you need and press “Connect”.

Step 6

6. Enter data from the website

The client asks for a login and a password — take them from the “Connection details” block in the dashboard (Username and Password). After that the tray icon turns green: the connection is up.

To avoid picking servers blindly, use our Radar service — radar.rvpn.online: it shows which servers are up right now and how fast they respond (sign in with your VPN login and password).

If something does not work out, message our online consultant — the turquoise rocket icon in the bottom-right corner. We will help you and answer your questions.
