Shadowsocks · R‑VPN · iOS

Step 1

1. Download

On an iPhone Shadowsocks configurations are handled by the Potatso app — install it from the App Store. If it does not show up in search, the app is restricted in your region: you will need an Apple ID from another country.

Step 2

2. Download config files

Press the “QR-Code” button on an activated server — a window with the configuration code opens. That is what the app will read, so keep the window open for now.

Step 3

3. Configuration import

In Potatso tap “+” and under “Auto Import” choose “QR Code”. Point the camera at the code shown in the dashboard on the computer screen — the proxy appears in the “Choose Proxy” list.

Step 4

4. Connection

Pick a proxy in the “Choose Proxy” list and press the round start button. iOS asks once to allow adding a VPN configuration — confirm it, and a VPN icon appears in the status bar.

To avoid picking servers blindly, use our Radar service — radar.rvpn.online: it shows which servers are up right now and how fast they respond (sign in with your VPN login and password).

If something does not work out, message our online consultant — the turquoise rocket icon in the bottom-right corner. We will help you and answer your questions.
