1. Download
In the “Useful links” block at the bottom of the dashboard, under Windows, click “Download Shadowsocks” — an archive with the Shadowsocks client downloads. If the link does not open, use the mirrors next to it — Europe, USA and Yandex.Disk.
|
2. Software installation
Unpack the archive and run Shadowsocks.exe — the app does not need installing, it simply runs from the folder. Once started, its icon appears in the system tray next to the clock.
|
3. Select country
In the dashboard open the “Connect to server” block, expand a region and press “Connect” under the flag you need — the server is activated and moves to “Current connections”. Activate several servers at once: switching profiles in the app is faster than coming back to the dashboard.
|
4. Configuration import
Press “QR-Code” on the server you need so the code shows on screen. Then right-click the Shadowsocks tray icon and choose “Servers” → “Scan QRcode from Screen” — the app finds the code on screen itself and adds the server.
|
5. Connection
In the same menu switch “System Proxy” → “Global” — all traffic then goes through Shadowsocks. The server is switched under “Servers”, and “System Proxy” → “Disable” turns it off.
To avoid picking servers blindly, use our Radar service — radar.rvpn.online: it shows which servers are up right now and how fast they respond (sign in with your VPN login and password).
